How to Schedule a Facebook Event Post

The short answer
Scheduling a Facebook Event isn't the same task as scheduling a regular status update. An Event is its own object with a start date, time, and location, and you create it directly with those future details built in, rather than writing it now and telling Facebook to publish it later the way you would with a normal post. To schedule a facebook event in advance, you're really just creating the Event itself ahead of the date it happens.
Creating the Event itself
From your Page, go to the Events tab and choose to create a new Event. Fill in the event name, a start date and time in the future, a location (physical address or "online"), and a description. Once you publish the Event, it's live immediately as a listing, visible to your followers, even though the event itself won't happen until the date you set. This is the core difference from a scheduled post: the Event listing publishing and the event happening are two separate dates by design.
Promoting the event with scheduled posts
Where regular post scheduling comes back into play is in promoting the Event after it's created. Once your Event exists, you can schedule separate feed posts, and Stories, that link to it in the days and weeks leading up to the date, a save-the-date post a month out, a reminder post a week out, and a final push the day before. This is standard scheduled-post functionality, distinct from the Event object itself.
Common mix-ups worth avoiding
A frequent point of confusion is trying to "schedule" an Event to publish its listing at a future date, the way you'd schedule a post to go live tomorrow at 9am. Facebook Events don't work that way, the listing itself goes live as soon as you create it. If you want the announcement itself to appear at a specific future moment, that's a separate scheduled post linking to the already-created Event, not a delayed Event publish.
Keeping event promotion consistent
Between creating the Event and scheduling the string of reminder posts around it, event promotion on Facebook involves more moving pieces than a single post. Posted Once handles the scheduled reminder posts across Facebook and nine other platforms from one calendar, so your save-the-date, mid-countdown, and final reminder posts all go out on time without you tracking each one manually. The Facebook scheduler is the place to set that sequence up.
